In a charming tale of adventure, Jill Butler follows Paintbrush from his first excursions beyond his atelier to his dream come true - an invitation to show his work. Along the way he learns to live a la francaise in the city of Manet, Degas, Pissarro and Picasso. He breakfasts on cafe au lait and a croisant amande, travels the metro, shops daily for provisions at open air markets, haunts museums and the Left Bank galleries. And works, works, works on his exhibition.
