Antique 3 volume book set "The Countries of the World" being a popular description of the various continents, island, rivers, seas, and peoples of the globe, by Robert Brown.
Each book measures 10 inches tall, 8 inches wide.
Vol I:
320 pages.
Condition: stunning green black and gilded embossed cover and spine, some wear along edges and spine, spotting, name written on blank page, wrinkling on title page, no copyright notice (however I believe these are from the late 1870s), nice clean pages.
Vol II:
320 pages.
Condition: green black and gilded embossed cover and spine, puncture through cover to page 31, spine not marked with number 2, handwriting on interior cover, a few smears, some spotting, pages are nice and clean.
Vol III:
320 pages.
Condition: spine separating from book, spotting, a few corner folds, nice clean pages, wrinkling from page 313 to end, stains on back cover.
